Feeling anxious or worried?
Anxiety can be crippling, stopping you from doing so many things. At it's best anxiety protects you, but in overdrive it restricts and controls you.
You may be experiencing the physical symptoms of dizziness, sweating, heart racing, nausea, headaches and sleeplessness. You might also feel a sense of dread, of being on edge, or being generally irritable and impatient.
Sometimes the anxiety is triggered in certain situations or in certain places. You might experience anxiety in social situations, be worried about your health, or find yourself feeling anxious a lot of the time. As an experienced counsellor I can help you understand how and why you have an anxious response, and what you might be doing that makes the symptoms worse. I help you to uncover the sequence of thoughts, behaviours and feelings that can spiral out of control.
You can start to positively manage your anxiety by finding resources and strategies that will work for you. You will be able to find ways to reduce the frequency and the intensity of your anxiety so that you can enjoy a more peaceful and satisfying life.

Feeling low or depressed?
Sometimes it is difficult to get support from the people around you, particularly if you have suffered from depression for a while. You may be lucky in getting the support you need from your GP. Even so, some people prefer to see an independent counsellor.
Living with depression can be very lonely. It can be difficult for other people to understand, and you may feel that nothing can change. Maybe you hide how you feel but are finding this increasing difficult. As an experienced counsellor I can help, bybuilding your resources and strategies for coping, and by getting to the root of the depression. This means that we work together to find the breakthrough solutions you are looking for.
